Tuesday 18th August 2020 – Ashore at Muirtown, Inverness

High Street Inverness

It’s only a short walk into the heart of the City and we spent most of the day happily wandering about the lanes and calling into Wetherspoons to dry out…. yes it’s raining again. We took a long time over lunch and found that not only were the Wetherspoon meal deals great value but the wi fi signal in the ‘King’s Highway’ to be the best around. As we wanted to download some updates we killed time with plenty of latte re-fils.

The route to Talavera

We’re loving Inverness and it’s still very quiet in the sea lock marina. The wind direction isn’t forecast to be in our favour until the weekend so we have arranged to stay a few more nights here, it’s only £10 per night so a no brainer.

Before it started raining

Artie has become a bit of an escape artist during the night and has broken through all barricades so far, tonight we’ll try to foil him by using the seats from the canoe to block his way.

Eyeing up his escape route

There are no plans for us to venture out tonight, it’s DVD kind of weather or a good book. It is quite nice to have a lazy day for a change.
